Merry Christmas…

The stockings are hung, the presents are wrapped, the cookies and egg nog are out and a sweet little girl is bursting with excitment while trying to fall asleep. Christmas Eve. I can not even begin to express how thankful I am for the amazing family and group of friends we have in our life. We are blessed beyond measure. My gifts are not under my tree, they are all around me. However I can’t help but wonder, maybe, next year, could we be a family of four? I wish it was as easy as Bella wanted it to be, and we could just ask Santa to bring us a child. But we do have faith, hope and love. And hopefully, they will lead us there one day.

Catching Up

It’s been a busy few weeks! Lots to catch up on, but too tired to get to it all tonight. But I do have some more photos from our session with our amazing photographer Meggan Jacks (who also happens to be one of my dearest friends – and we predict someday we’ll actually be familiy when Meggan’s son Kevin marries Bella). Anyways – here they are… Hopefully next Christmas there will be a new family member – you never know!

A fun and busy weekend

We had a busy weekend, but lots of fun. Saturday night Bella got to dance at Zoo Lights at the Phoenix Zoo. Since we have been going to the zoo since she was a baby, it was pretty exciting for her.

Today her swim school had a “mini meet” for the students. It was just a fun little event where they came and got to swim a few laps and get a medal – no pressure or actual competition, just fun. Bella LOVED it and of course loved getting a medal.

Tonight we went over to my Dad’s house for some homemade turkey pot pies (which were delicious, my Dad is becoming quite the chef!). Afterwards we went to pick out his Christmas tree. Bella has never been on a Christmas tree lot, much less picked out a tree, since our tree comes from the garage each year. She really enjoyed it. How can you not – the smell of pine, cool air, and feeling like you are in a forest – I can’t believe we haven’t at least taken her to look at trees before now. Fun night and great end to a busy weekend!
