15 Years

First, wow, I haven’t been to this blog in like five weeks. What the heck? Well, I know what the heck. Her name is Grace, she’s the cutest thing on the planet, and she’s very, very, VERY mobile, and she’s also one heck of a little mischief maker. She’s keeping me on my toes, and than some. Add that to long term insomnia and most nights instead of spending some time writing, I hit the pillow as soon as my beautiful girls are tucked in.
Today is my15th wedding anniversary. It’s amazing to me, it truly is.
When we started dating, I was 17 and my now husband was 21.
I was on the fence about the relationship (hey, I’m honest!) but he was pretty much in it from day one, with the vision to see us here now. When you are that young, everyone gives you their opinion, and everyone told us it wouldn’t work out, we weren’t right of each other, blah blah blah. While they may have actually had some valid points, we are both too stubborn to listen to anyone. We had a lot of hard years. Redefined starving college student. Had ups, downs and in betweens. After five years together, we got married…
We spent almost eight years married before we had Bella.
And than this little girl changed everything.
And so did this one…
Life is amazing. It goes by in the blink of an eye. We are SO very blessed. We don’t have a perfect life, but we have a lot of love and laughter in the life we do have. Not sure where I’m going with this, other than to just sit back in awe thinking where I was 20 years ago, a senior in high school, who started dating a guy, thinking it would be for a while and than I’d be dating someone else. And yet… Here. We. Are.
